Send an instant message or other communication
The Communicator contact card provides details about the contact’s online status and his or her availability based on calendar information. It also provides a starting point for connecting with a contact. For example, you can start an instant messaging session, call the contact, schedule a meeting, or e-mail the contact. You can view the contact card for someone in your organization when you simultaneously edit a document by using Word or PowerPoint.
