Do any of the following:
On the right side of the ribbon, click , and then click Ribbon Preferences.
Under General, clear the Turn on the ribbon check box.
On the Word menu, click Preferences.
Under Personal Settings, click Ribbon .
Under General, select the Turn on the ribbon check box.
