Rounds a number down, toward 0 (zero).
Syntax
ROUNDDOWN(number,num_digits)

number | Any real number that you want rounded down. | |
num_digits | The number of digits to which you want to round

If
num_digits is greater than 0 (zero), then
number is rounded down to the specified number of decimal places.

num_digits is 0, then number is rounded down to the nearest integer.

num_digits is less than 0, then
number is rounded down to the left of the decimal point.

ROUNDDOWN behaves like
ROUND, except that it always rounds a number down.
Example
To make the following example easier to understand, you can copy the data to a blank sheet and then enter the function underneath the data. Do not select the row or column headings (1, 2, 3... A, B, C...) when you copy the sample data to a blank sheet.
