Cause: The document was saved in Word 98 or earlier.

On the File menu, click Save As.

On the Format pop-up menu, click a file format that is later than Word 98, for example, Word Document (.docx) or Word 97-2004 Document (.doc).
 | Note Do not use Plain Text (.txt), Rich Text Format (.rtf), or Word 4.0-6.0/95 Compatible (.rtf) because these file formats cannot display nested tables. |
| Solution: Remove the nested table. |

Rest the pointer on the

Drag the inner table to a location that is outside the enclosing table.
