You can format your text into a bulleted list to help your audience focus on what you are saying. To attract even more attention to a slide, you can add custom animation to the bullet points in the bulleted list. For example, if you want to emphasize the main points, you can display one bullet point at a time or make all the bullet points flash or blink. You can select an individual bullet and apply a custom animation to it, or you can apply a custom animation to the entire bulleted list. The steps below apply a custom animation to an entire bulleted list.
Make each bullet point fly in from the left
Select the slide that contains the bulleted list that you want to animate.
Click in the bulleted list.
On the Animations tab, under Entrance Effects, rest your pointer on an effect and click , and then under Basic, click Fly In.
Note The animation is applied to all bullet points on the slide, and starts when you click your mouse.
On the Animations tab, under Animation Options, click Effect Options, and then click From Left.
To preview all animation effects on the slide, on the Animations tab, under Preview, click Play.
Make the bulleted list blink once
Select the slide that contains the bulleted list that you want to animate.
Click in the bulleted list.
On the Animations tab, under Emphasis Effects, rest your pointer on an effect and click , and then under Exciting, click Blink.
Note The animation is applied to all bullet points on the slide, and starts when you click your mouse.
On the Animations tab, under Animation Options, click Effect Options, and then click All at Once.
To preview all animation effects on the slide, on the Animations tab, under Preview, click Play.
Make the bulleted list fly out to the right
Select the slide that contains the bulleted list that you want to animate.
Click in the bulleted list.
On the Animations tab, under Exit Effects, rest your pointer on an effect and click , and then under Basic, click Fly Out.
Note The animation is applied to all bullet points on the slide, and starts when you click your mouse.
On the Animations tab, under Animation Options, click Effect Options.
Under Direction, click To Right, and then under Sequence, click All at Once.
To preview all animation effects on the slide, on the Animations tab, under Preview, click Play.
