Sync Outlook calendar with an iPhone, iPad, or iPod

To make your Outlook calendar available to sync with your mobile device, in Outlook you must first turn on Sync ServicesA central database on your computer that allows applications and devices to share information such as calendars, contacts, tasks, and notes., and then your Outlook calendar will sync with iCal.

Note  With OS X Mountain Lion, Apple no longer maintains active support for Sync Services. You might experience issues, if you are using Sync Services to sync your Outlook data - calendar, contacts, tasks, and notes - with local applications and smart phones, like iPhone, iCal and RIM.

After you turn on Sync Services, you can use iTunes to sync iCal with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod. Depending on the size of your calendar, the sync with iCal might take some time to complete. For example, it will take time if you have a calendar that spans more than a year.

Important

To sync your Outlook Calendar, you need Office for Mac 2011 Service Pack 1 or later. To check to see if you need to install the latest service pack, on the Help menu, click Check for Updates, click Manually, and then Check for Updates.
