Cause: The default setting for space after paragraphs in Word 2011 differs from the default setting in other versions of Word.
| Solution: Change the default setting for spacing after paragraphs in the Normal template. |

On the File menu, click Open, and then double-click /Users/username/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Office/User Templates/Normal.dotm.

Tip If you are using Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion), the Library folder is hidden by default. To browse to the Library folder from the Open dialog box, press COMMAND+SHIFT+G, and in the Go to folder box, type ~/Library. -
On the Format menu, click Paragraph.

On the Indents and Spacing tab, under Spacing, enter 0 in the After box.

Click OK.

Click Save.

Close the template.
